Brief

To provide consultancy services for the external upgrade and refurbishment of two 1970s three storey flat blocks.

Solution

DHP have worked with JC Francis since 2007 providing a range of services across their portfolio. The work to upgrade Pine and Maple Lodge in Richmond included replacing the poor condition and decaying timber cladding. We installed PVCu cladding which provides a more durable and long term solution, it is easy to maintain, is cost effective and durable to weather changes.

We also included the replacement of balcony coverings to include insulation, this in turn will improve the thermal properties of the flats. Additionally new glazed balustrades were designed into balconies. Minor water damage repairs plus brickwork, render repairs and redecoration were also completed in order to preserve the structure of the building in the future. DHP also undertook a ten year planned maintenance and condition survey for the buildings.
