Progress is happening! Written on 29th November 2018
Phase A has been completed and it’s just the start of the transformation for West Lea School in Enfield. The expansion project for the special educational needs school has been lacking suitable accommodation to provide the required level of education for the needs of the pupils, with an acute lack of specialist facilities. That’s where dhp come in.
At the heart of our design for phase A was to create a cohesive, safe and suitable solution which will ensure pupils feel encouraged and enriched. The new build,as an extension to the existing block, is set over two floors, each boasting four classrooms, a group room, cloakroom, store cupboards, toilets and accessible toilets.
There are still two more phases to come with the existing main building due to get a complete makeover and a further two extensions to build! The next phase commences in spring 2019 with the final phase in 2020, so keep an eye out on our social media for continued updates on helping the school achieve their long term goals and aspirations.
