Priory School

Client: Governors of the Priory School / Guildford Diocesan Board of Education

Project value: £1.6M

Completion: May 2008

The increasingly popular music and drama curriculum at the Priory School caused a desperate need for more suitable accommodation. A successful bid to the DCSF resulted in a funding award that enabled the school to realise a cutting edge performing arts centre.

The new centre incorporates a drama studio, state of art recording studio, music classrooms, ensemble rooms, practice rooms and a music recital classroom. The large contemporary main entrance foyer provides a sense of theatrical occasion for both users and visitors to the facility. The centre has been designed for use by both school and local community; frequent pupil evening productions are a popular attraction for pupils, parents and friends of the school.
