Client: Diocese of Arundel & Brighton / Governors of St Anne's Catholic Primary School
Project value: £700k
Completion: July 2008
The results of all the school's hard work and unstinting resolve in overcoming what at times must have seemed like insurmountable obstacles, are now clear for all to see. Bishop Kieran presided over the official opening of the annex in September 2008.
A successful LCVP bid for funding enabled the long awaited removal of dilapidated temporary classrooms at St Anne's Catholic Primary School. The whole school were involved in additional fundraising for the project, including a fun run event which raised a staggering £4,200 for the new building. The children thoroughly enjoyed the event; keeping fit, having fun and raising funds for the school all at the same time!
A fantastic new annex has been constructed to provide light, bright, welcoming classbases, IT suite, a new school staffroom, group teaching spaces and ancillary accommodation. The building is connected to the main school via a single storey link, accommodating further new group rooms. Externally the new two-storey annex has been designed to compliment the school's sylvan setting.
